Community Resource Development Plan Priorities – WIC Section 4679(c)

Fiscal Year 2025-2026

Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) considers the following areas to be priorities when submitting proposals to the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) for the development of resources under the Community Resource Development Plan (CRDP). Information has been gathered through stakeholders, including but not limited to individuals receiving services in the community, family members, current service providers, development of Individual Program Plans (IPP’s), collaboration with local housing development agencies, and through discussions within the vendor advisory committee group meetings. The following priority areas have been identified but are not limited to:

  • In home crisis services to support families
  • Clinical staff providing expertise and support to enhance the lives of those individuals served and whom reside in specialized residential settings or at risk for institutional settings.
  • Specialized residential services for children and adults with various levels of need, including concerns related to mental health diagnoses
  • Specialized day and vocational services for individuals with behavioral challenges or significant self-care, mobility, and ambulation needs
  • Affordable Housing Options
  • Ensuring unique residential opportunities are available to meet cultural, religious, and ethnic preferences are maintained within the community

Any additional input from individuals/family members, service providers, or other interested persons within the community should be submitted directly to RCOC in order to be considered for development purposes.
