Housing for People with Developmental Disabilities
Regional Center of Orange County is committed to providing safe, affordable living options for people with developmental disabilities in their communities.
RCOC has partnered with a number of state and local entities to ensure a broad range of services and options are available when people are ready to transition from one living arrangement to the next.
RCOC is active and up-to-date on current housing activities and legislation as it relates to and impacts the lives of people with developmental disabilities.
RCOC has identified priorities for the development of resources under the Community Resource Development Plan (CRDP).
The closure of Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa opened up opportunities for developing several homes in the community for people with developmental disabilities. This virtual tour gives a snapshot of the options that were available for individuals moving out of Fairview. The development of these new community resources has also created an additional number of stable, long-term homes for people with developmental disabilities.
