RCOC is committed to equipping Board members with the training and support they need to provide strong leadership to our agency and adopt policies that positively impact the lives of the people we serve and their families.
Educational presentations are often made at Board of Directors meetings and during separate educational retreats. The links below list the various educational training provided to RCOC’s Board members since January 2016.
As per Welfare & Institutions Codes 4622(g)(1) “The regional center shall provide necessary training and support to these board members to facilitate their understanding and participation, including issues relating to linguistic and cultural competency ” and (g)(3) “Each regional center shall post on its Internet Web site information regarding the training and support provided to board members,” the Regional Center of Orange County conducts ongoing training for its Board of Directors.
